lyrics

You can know what’s right and choose otherwise
deny what’s there before your eyes
sit calmly as your world goes insane
have everything and still complain

And you reach rock bottom
too numb to cry
thinking, ‘this must be how it feels to die’
then healing comes and you survive
are you wiser ?
in this incomprehensible
highly improbable / Perfectly Imperfect life

we staunchly, stubbornly defend
our foolishness, right to the end
we’ll break before we ever bend
emotions iron hold
and it’s resignation by default
where spirits slowly killed
so many hopeful promises
and they’re stranded, and they’re begging, unfulfilled

And it’s you and me and everyone, dancing in the very same place
this incomprehensible / highly improbable
paradoxical / extraordinary
perfectly imperfect life

So don’t ask me why I love you so
I love you ... and I don’t know
and I don’t know it more each day
and I pray it stays that way

Body and soul are wrestling to become the chief
we lose what we most love and learn
to breath right through the grief.
but in the end it’s up to us
to make this world a poem
of peace for every creature
where even G-d would feel at home

So don’t ask me why I love you so
I love you ... and I don’t know
and I don’t know it more each day
and I pray it stays that way

though I do ask myself every day
has it made a little difference
that I’ve have passed this way?

in this incomprehensible / highly improbable
paradoxical / extraordinary
logically illogical
certainly uncertain
perfectly imperfect life
Perfectly, Imperfect life
